Troubleshooting
What StemHaus's messages mean and what to do about them.
Signing in
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| Sign-in was cancelled. | You closed the browser before finishing. Choose Sign in again. |
| That sign-in link has expired, or did not match this app. | Start again from the app: choose Sign in and finish in the browser window it opens. |
| Your account is still being set up. | A new account takes a moment. Try again shortly. |
| Your session has ended. Sign in again. | You were signed out. Choose Sign in. |
| Could not reach the server. | Check your internet connection. |
Pushing and pulling
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| Choose a folder for this project first. | Open the project and choose Choose folder. |
| This project is already syncing. | Wait for the push or pull that is running to finish. |
| There is nothing to pull yet. | Nobody has pushed a version. Push the first one. |
| A file changed while it was uploading. | Save in your DAW, then push again. |
| You only have view access to this project. | Ask the project’s owner for edit access. |
| A downloaded file was damaged, so nothing was changed. | Your folder is untouched. Try the pull again. |
| Not pulled. These files were changed here and online. | See Pushing and pulling for how to proceed. |
| This project contains a file type that cannot be synced. | Remove executables and plugin files from the folder, or leave them: StemHaus skips them. |
| This version contains a file path that is not safe to write, so it was refused. | The version holds a file that would be written outside your folder. Nothing was changed. Tell us. |
| Syncing needs the compiled sync module, which is not installed in this build. | This copy of the app is missing a part. Install the latest beta build. |

Previews
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| Choose a WAV, MP3, FLAC, OGG, M4A or AIFF file. | Export your bounce in one of those formats. |
| Previews can be up to 150 MiB. | Export a smaller file, for instance an MP3. |
| That file could not be read as audio. / That file is not the kind of audio its name says. | Export the audio again, with the right extension. |
| That recording is empty. / That recording is longer than four hours. | Choose a recording with sound that is under four hours. |
